    Plaquenil, diarrhea and weight loss? May 17, 2012 You may well be having this because of the plaquenil and stopping the plaquenil is the only way to find this out. I have had to take some heavy duty antibiotics a couple of times this year and I quit taking my plaquenil at these times. My choice. I don't want to overload my liver anymore than I have to so choose to do that. So far no problems.
